The plant boasts intricate purple and white flowers, followed by egg-shaped or round fruits with a purple or yellow exterior. The inside contains a gelatinous pulp filled with numerous edible seeds. Growing up to 20 feet in length, this perennial vine requires a frost-free and sunny location. Passion Fruit is suitable for USDA hardiness zones 9 to 11. Germinating Passion Fruit Flower Seeds
To germinate Passiflora edulis, soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Plant them in a well-draining soil mix, covering lightly. Keep the soil moist, place in a warm location, and germination should occur within 3-4 weeks.
