Rumex Crispus Seeds (Curly Dock)
Curly Dock, scientifically known as Rumex Crispus, is a perennial plant with distinct arrow-shaped leaves that have wavy or curly margins. Also called Curly-leaf Dock or Yellow Dock, it can reach a height of 1 to 4 feet when fully mature. The plant produces green flower spikes that turn rust-red as they age. Curly Dock is hardy in USDA zones 3 to 9, making it suitable for a wide range of climates. To propagate Curly Dock, Rumex Crispus seeds can be collected from the plant in late summer or early fall and sown in well-drained soil.

Germinating Curly Dock Flower Seeds
To germinate Rumex Crispus, start by preparing a seedbed with well-draining soil. Scatter the seeds evenly and lightly cover them with soil. Water the bed regularly to maintain soil moisture until the seeds germinate, which usually takes about 1-2 weeks.
We source all of our Rumex Crispus seeds from a small greenhouse facility based in southeastern Maine and store them in a dark, temperature-controlled environment before shipment. You’ll find that our fresh Curly Dock seeds are much easier to germinate than the mass-produced packets of flower seeds found in stores! If you have any trouble growing Curly Dock seeds, we’re happy to send you additional gardening tips. In the (unlikely) event that your Rumex Crispus seeds do not germinate at all, we’ll give you a full refund, no questions asked.
We offer this variety on Etsy, eBay, and Amazon, as well!
