Pale Evening Primrose (Oenothera pallida), also known as the Pale Evening-Primrose or Missouri Evening-Primrose, is a hardy perennial native to central North America. Its attractive flowering stems can reach up to 3 feet in height, adorned with fragrant, pale yellow flowers. The plants produce clusters of lance-shaped leaves and can spread up to 2 feet wide. Oenothera pallida is adaptable, tolerating various soil types and growing conditions. It is best suited for USDA hardiness zones 4-9. To propagate the species, Oenothera pallida seeds can be collected from the mature seed capsules and sown in well-drained soil.
