Lobelia siphilitica Seeds (Great Lobelia)
Great Lobelia, scientifically known as Lobelia siphilitica, is a native perennial plant found in North America. It features beautiful, vibrant blue flowers on tall spikes, resembling an inverted cone. Commonly referred to as Blue Cardinal Flower or Blue Lobelia, this plant grows in moist areas such as marshes, stream banks, and wet meadows. It reaches a height of 2-3 feet and blooms from late summer to early fall. Great Lobelia is hardy in USDA zones 4-9 and can be grown from Lobelia siphilitica seeds, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds with its nectar-rich blossoms.

Germinating Great Lobelia Flower Seeds
To germinate Lobelia siphilitica, stratify the seeds by placing them in a moist paper towel in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks. Then, sow the seeds on top of moist soil and cover lightly. Keep the soil consistently moist until germination occurs.
