Iris sibirica Seeds (Siberian Iris)
Siberian Iris (Iris sibirica) is a herbaceous perennial plant native to Europe and Asia. It is a popular garden plant known for its delicate and elegant appearance. Growing up to 3 feet tall, it features sturdy, erect stems with narrow, grass-like leaves. The flowers, which bloom in early summer, come in various shades of blue, purple, and white. Siberian Iris is adaptable and thrives in moist, well-drained soils. It can be grown in USDA hardiness zones 3 to 8. To germinate Iris sibirica, start by placing the seeds in a plastic bag with a moist paper towel and refrigerate for 8-12 weeks. After refrigeration, sow the seeds in well-draining soil, keep moist, and place in a warm area with partial sunlight.
We source all of our Iris sibirica seeds from a small greenhouse facility based in southeastern Maine and store them in a dark, temperature-controlled environment before shipment. You’ll find that our fresh Siberian Iris seeds are much easier to germinate than the mass-produced packets of flower seeds found in stores! If you have any trouble growing Siberian Iris seeds, we’re happy to send you additional gardening tips. In the (unlikely) event that your Iris sibirica seeds do not germinate at all, we’ll give you a full refund, no questions asked.
We offer this variety on Etsy, eBay, and Amazon, as well!
