Germinating Virgins Bower Flower Seeds
To germinate Clematis virginiana, collect fresh seeds in late summer or early fall and remove the feathery tails. Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before sowing them in a pot filled with moist, well-draining soil. Keep the pot in a cool, dark place until the seeds germinate.
We source all of our Clematis virginiana seeds from a small greenhouse facility based in southeastern Maine and store them in a dark, temperature-controlled environment before shipment. You’ll find that our fresh Virgins Bower seeds are much easier to germinate than the mass-produced packets of flower seeds found in stores! If you have any trouble growing Virgins Bower seeds, we’re happy to send you additional gardening tips. In the (unlikely) event that your Clematis virginiana seeds do not germinate at all, we’ll give you a full refund, no questions asked.
We offer this variety on Etsy, eBay, and Amazon, as well!
