The White Love-in-a-Mist (Nigella damascena) is a delicate annual flower, also known as the Devil-in-a-Bush or Lady-in-a-Palace. Growing up to 2 feet tall, it features finely-cut, feathery foliage and intricate white flowers surrounded by a mist of delicate, lacy bracts. This plant produces ornamental seed pods that resemble miniature lanterns, adding visual interest to gardens and flower arrangements. White Love-in-a-Mist is moderately easy to cultivate, preferring well-drained soil and full sun. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 2-11 and can be propagated by Nigella damascena seeds, usually sown directly in the garden in early spring or fall.
