Primula vialii Seeds (Orchid Primrose)
Primula vialii, commonly known as Orchid primrose, is an enchanting herbaceous perennial plant native to China and Tibet. Its unique appearance showcases tall spikes of vibrant, deep purple flowers that resemble little orchids. Growing up to 2 feet (0.6 meters) in height, these showy blooms emerge from rosettes of dark green, oblong leaves. Hardy in USDA zones 6 to 9, Orchid primrose prefers moist, well-draining soil and partial shade. To propagate, Primula vialii seeds can be sown indoors or in a cold frame during early spring, ensuring they remain moist until germination.
