Alcea rosea Seeds (Blush Hollyhock)
Blush Hollyhock (Alcea rosea) is a popular flowering plant known for its towering stalks and showy blooms. Also called Common Hollyhock or Rose Mallow, it features large, bell-shaped flowers in various shades of pink. These flowers emerge from mid to late summer, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. When fully mature, the plant can reach a height of 6-8 feet and spread about 2-3 feet wide. Blush Hollyhock thrives in USDA hardiness zones 3-8, preferring full sun and well-draining soil. To grow this beautiful perennial, Alcea rosea seeds can be sown directly into the garden in early spring or started indoors under controlled conditions.
