Its striking appearance is characterized by tall stems covered in bright yellow flowers that resemble candlesticks, hence its common name. This plant is typically 6 to 9 feet tall and can spread up to 6 feet wide. Candlestick Bush is hardy in USDA zones 9 to 11. It is propagated through Cassia alata seeds, which require warm temperatures and well-draining soil to germinate successfully. This species is often used medicinally to treat skin conditions, thanks to its antibacterial and antifungal properties.
