It is also known as the Sweet Calabash Passionfruit or Apple Passionfruit due to its apple-like appearance. The plant is a vine that can reach heights of 10-15 feet and has distinctive lobed leaves and beautiful purple and white flowers. Its round, yellow fruits are about the size of an apple and have a sweet, tangy taste. Sweet Calabash is typically grown in USDA hardiness zones 10-12. Germinating Sweet Calabash Flower Seeds

To germinate Passiflora maliformis, start by soaking the seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Then, sow the seeds in a well-draining potting mix, covering them lightly. Maintain moist soil, provide indirect sunlight, and ensure temperatures of around 70-85°F for successful germination.
